A rideshare driver has been charged with rape and false imprisonment after a teen was allegedly attacked after entering into his car.
The 19-year-old lady was sexually assaulted in Melbourne’s CBD after entering into what she believed was a rideshare, shortly earlier than 2am on Monday, police alleged.

Officers arrested a 43-year-old man at his Pakenham dwelling on Thursday.
He has been charged with rape and false imprisonment, and his rideshare driver’s licence has been suspended.
The person will face Melbourne Magistrates Court docket on Friday over the costs.
