The daddy of hostage Almog Meir Jan ‘died of grief’ hours earlier than his son was rescued.
As Almog, 21, was lifted away following the mission on Saturday, the Israel Defence Forces tried to name his father, Yossi, 59, to ship the excellent news.
When he did not decide up, they phoned his sister, Dina Jan, who dashed spherical to his dwelling in Kfar Saba, central Israel.
‘I knocked, ‘Yossi, Yossi, Yossi’, and nothing,’ she informed Israel’s Kan Information.

‘I obtained no reply. The door of his home was open and I noticed him sleeping in the lounge… I touched him, however he was useless.’
His physique was taken to a close-by hospital. Shortly afterwards, Almog touched down on the similar hospital following his rescue.
‘My brother died of grief and did not get to see his son return,’ Dina stated.
It’s thought he died of a coronary heart assault on Friday.
