Washington Nationals outfielder Lane Thomas was not the one one sad with second-year MLB umpire Emil Jimenez on Thursday.
Thomas, 28, was ejected for the primary time in his profession through the sixth inning of the Nationals’ 7-2 loss to the Detroit Tigers of their sequence finale on Thursday, however followers have been outraged by the weird circumstances that led to that ejection.

Thomas was struck out on a questionable strike name on a 2-2 depend when he appeared to briefly look behind him towards Jimenez.

Jimenez, who made his main league debut in 2023, didn’t hesitate to throw Thomas out of the sport regardless of audio exhibiting that Thomas didn’t say a phrase to him after the decision was made.

The Nationals’ five-game win streak would finish with Thursday’s loss. The ejection marked Thomas’ first of his MLB profession and the 76th ejection of the common season.
