A determined search is underway for a lacking man after a ship overturned, spilling out its passengers – however solely two had been discovered clinging to the vessel.
The yacht had three folks on board and overturned off Girl Elliott Island close to Gladstone on Sunday morning.
It’s understood the yacht was travelling from Yeppoon to Brisbane when it upturned.
The boat was about 4 nautical miles south of Girl Elliot Island when an EPIRB was activated about 5am, reported The Courier Mail.
A search and rescue operation involving a number of vessels, police divers and a Bundaberg-based rescue helicopter was launched by emergency providers.
