One of the well-known spots within the Lake District has been topped the UK’s most gorgeous view.
Lake Windermere tops a 25-strong rating of views, produced by a survey of Brits during which they picked their favorite scenic spots.
Of these surveyed, 36 per cent voted the picturesque physique of water in Cumbria their best choice.
In second place on the record of British magnificence spots is St Ives Bay. The crescent-shaped Cornish spot obtained 33 per cent of the votes.

The Jurassic Coast, a 95-mile-long Unesco World Heritage Website that stretches from Dorset to Devon, ranks fourth with 24 per cent of votes and in fifth place is Gothic cathedral York Minster (23 per cent).
Windermere rating first will come as little shock to many. One Tripadvisor reviewer mentioned it’s ‘merely gorgeous and a jewel within the UK’s crown’.
