A homicide probe has been launched at a Dorset vacation park after a person in his 70s was discovered unresponsive within the water, as two individuals have been arrested in connection.
Dorset Police acquired a report at 12.27am this morning elevating concern for the welfare of a person believed to be in Heron Lake at Warmwell Vacation Park in Crossways.
Emergency companies responded to the scene and situated a person within the water, tragically he was unresponsive and pronounced lifeless on the scene.
Officers have now arrested a person and girl, each aged of their 50s and from Birmingham, on suspicion of homicide. The girl was additionally arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen, of Dorset Police’s Main Crime Investigation Group, stated: ‘Our ideas are with the household and associates of the person who sadly died, and we have now launched a full investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the dying.
‘We’re finishing up intensive enquiries within the space of the vacation park and a cordon has been put in place as we conduct our investigation.
‘I’m eager to listen to from anybody who witnessed or heard something suspicious within the space through the night of Saturday 22 June into the early hours of Sunday 23 June 2024.
‘There will probably be an elevated policing presence within the neighborhood as we supply out our enquiries and officers might be approached by any members of the general public with info or issues.’
