A two-year-old died at house by being ‘trapped or pinned’ in a reclining armchair in a tragic accident, a coroner dominated.
Emaan Raza was discovered unresponsive at her grandparent’s house deal with in Oxford at round midday on Might 19.
The toddler had been found unresponsive behind an electrically adjusted reclining armchair, which was in opposition to a wall within the sitting room.
She was then rushed in an ambulance to John Radcliffe Hospital within the Headington space of town the place she was tragically pronounced lifeless at about 2pm.
An inquest held at Oxford Coroner’s Courtroom on June 19 heard that her medical reason behind dying was offered as ‘options in step with crush asphyxia’.
Senior coroner Darren Salter dominated her dying as an accident.
He advised the inquest that the infant’s accidents have been ‘non-specific’ however brought on by being ‘trapped or pinned’ in an enclosed area.
Mr Slater mentioned: ‘It’s unclear if the accidents have been brought on when she was inside or beneath the mechanism of the chair or between the chair and the wall.’
