A driver is on the run after crashing into a house in Melbourne’s north. 

A father and his five-year-old daughter have been slumbering within the Greenvale dwelling when the automotive crashed into their storage at 3.45am on Tuesday. 

The car caught alight with flames shortly spreading to the house which sustained intensive harm earlier than firefighters arrived. 

The daddy and daughter escaped with solely minor accidents.

Police have simply established a criminal offense scene and are reportedly investigating the incident as a probably focused assault. 

It took hearth crews with the assistance of neighbouring residents, about 40 minutes to extinguish the flames which was contained to the house. 

Photos from the scene confirmed the broken and charred storage door being inspected by firefighters as police arrived on the scene.
