PETA’s imploring the Cleveland Browns to eliminate their live-mascot custom following the loss of life of their sideline canine … telling TMZ Sports activities it believes the follow is dangerous to animals.
Tracy Reiman — PETA’s govt vice chairman — made the urging on Tuesday afternoon … simply hours after the NFL org. revealed its bullmastiff mascot, Swagger Jr., had handed away at 5 years previous.
Reiman stated in a press release that “generations of breeding for a sure look have left bullmastiffs susceptible to hip dysplasia, most cancers, and life-threatening coronary heart points, amongst different painful circumstances.” She added that she believed Swagger Jr.’s loss of life “ought to be seen as a damning indictment of an business that intentionally churns out these doomed breathing-impaired breeds.”

As for a way they will proceed with the place going ahead … it is anybody’s guess at this level — whether or not PETA likes it or not.
