Housed within the Faculty of Engineering, the Alabama Heart for the Development of Synthetic Intelligence has largely been made attainable because of a $2 million donation in honor of former chair of the division of pc science, Dr. Marvin A. Griffin.

Dr. Jiaqi Gong, affiliate professor of pc science, is the inaugural director of the cutting-edge middle.
