Assassin and former rugby league star Chris Dawson has misplaced a bid to be free of jail after the state’s highest courtroom threw out his attraction in opposition to his conviction for killing his spouse.
Now the ex-teacher, who was discovered to have killed his spouse Lynette to be with a teenage scholar and babysitter, is dealing with the prospect of dying in jail.
Dawson, 75, on Thursday appeared earlier than the Court docket of Felony Enchantment when a three-judge panel dismissed his attraction following a three-day listening to in Could.
Dawson was in August 2022 jailed for the homicide of his spouse, Lynette Simms, who vanished with no hint from their Bayview dwelling on Sydney’s northern seashores in January 1982.
Within the days after she vanished, Dawson moved his teenage lover – a former scholar and the household’s babysitter – into his Gilwinga Drive handle.
