The second a large sinkhole devoured up a part of an Illinois soccer park has been caught on surveillance digicam — and it is jaw-dropping, to say the least.
Test this out — a lightweight pole was dramatically sucked into the bottom at Gordon Moore Park Wednesday … forsaking a gaping gap at the very least 100 toes large and 50 toes deep.
The scene was straight out of a catastrophe film … with plumes of smoke swirling into the sky as the bottom crumbled beneath.
Different mind-blowing drone footage captures a birds-eye view of the aftermath … really showcasing the colossal dimension of the sinkhole.
The sinkhole was credited to an underground mine collapse — and Alton Parks and Recreation Director Michael Haynes known as the state of affairs an anomaly, noting these mines have been there for many years with out situation.
All scheduled park occasions have been canceled whereas the sinkhole incident is investigated.
